One of our favorites is cream sauce for pasta! We hope you enjoy it too!
It only takes a few simple ingredients and then we add a bunch of random stuff to the sauce to make it healthier or yummier!
Warning: This is very heavy and is not smart to eat on a diet no matter how many vegetables you put in it!
So the main things you will need are:
heavy cream
milk(if you don't want it to heavy)
Parmesan cheese(my personal favorite ingredient)
butter
olive oil
salt
fresh pepper
garlic salt or powder(if you are using powder you won't use as much)
basil
oregano
rosemary
We like to add:
mushrooms
chicken
shrmp
zucchini(if you add this it is goot to fry it up on the side and add on top when serving or it will get mushy)
diced tomatoes(to make a tomato creamy sauce)
lemon juice(added after for a little extra flavor)
ground beef
broccoli(add at the end or your sauce will only taste like broccoli)
For chicken cream sauce:
you want to fry up the chicken with your spices, butter, and olive oil first!
Once your chicken is cooked this is when you could add vegetables
once you have everything kind of cooked add your cream and milk...let it cook, but make sure it doesn't burn on the pan or it will get gross. Also make sure you don't boil it too high or it will curdle.
Once the cream and milk start to get a little thicker you want to add any extra spices if your sauce doesn't have enough flavor and then slowly whisk in your parmesan into the sauce
pour over your pasta and add a little lemon juice to kick it up
For ground beef:
Basically make it the same way. but parmesan will be left out.
We really like mushrooms in this sauce
For shrimp:
Once again it is very similar to the chicken cream sauce, but you would want to cook this on the side and add it at the end or it will have a strange texture.
This is way better with zucchini and lemon juice too!
